Chris Wang Appeals Sexual Harassment Case

Taiwanese actor Chris Wang (宥勝) was sentenced to eight months in prison for sexual harassing his female staff in May of this year. Hoping to get a reprieve from his sentence, Chris has filed an appeal and made a public apology.

Chris’ downfall first came to light last year when a female staffer accused the actor of grabbing her chest, licking her ears and trying to take off her underwear. Chris was found guilty and later filed an appeal.

The appeal had its first hearing today, after which Chris took to social media to apologize. He wrote, “I was really wrong. I am sorry to the women who was harmed. I am sorry to my family and friends who trusted me. I am truly, truly sorry.” Chris added that he hoped to show the public his sincere repentance in the future.

Chris is grateful for everyone’s support and criticism and wrote, “I humbly accept all advice; however, I will not bring up the case again in the future. Everything will be left to the court for the final decision.” I will continue to reflect deeply and give back to the society and will forever repent.”
