Huawei AppCube, the Chinese telecom’s firm applications platform that allows for easy development, deployment, and management of applications, has announced the debut AppCube Hackathon to spark innovation and help developers build apps in a simplified ecosystem.
Huawei AppCube Hackathon is scheduled for December 2 to December 6 at Huawei Kenya office and will bring together young Kenyan software developers to develop mobile and cloud-based applications on the Huawei ecosystem.

Huawei AppCube will be collaborating with local partners to unlock new possibilities for the youth and drive the next wave of digital transformation in e-commerce, virtual learning and enhanced connectivity among citizens.
Lin was speaking in Nairobi during Huawei’s Empowering Digital Transformation Forum that showcased Huawei products such as Huawei Cloud, Artificial Intelligence Contact Center, Data Operation Platform and Appcube. AppCube aims to be the go-to platform for young software developers in Kenya to build applications and take part in the digital transformation of their societies. More than 5,000 developers are using AppCube to build their apps and Huawei aims to see the numbers go up.
The firm also launched AICC (Artificial Intelligence Contact Center), a call center AI system which supports intelligent interaction, efficient management, and improved customer experiences. A Data Operation Platform for managing and optimizing data operations, ensuring efficiency and reliability and Huawei Cloud.
The 1st AppCube Hackathon Summit will hold from 2nd to 6th December 2024 at Huawei Offices in Kenya.
