Varun Dhawan talks about parenthood and daughter Lara
On June 3, Varun Dhawan’s wife Natasa Dalal gave birth to their baby daughter. The actor had shared a post on social media announcing the good news. Varun and Natasha haven’t yet revealed the face of their little one yet but announced that they have named her Lara. Now in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Varun shared everything about parenthood. He was quoted saying that both father and mother have different experiences; adding that a mother becomes a tigress the moment her baby is born. But for a man, he become all the more protective. Especially toward daughters. “I am sure you feel for sons also, but towards the daughter… If anyone causes even so much (little) harm to her I’d kill them. I am dead serious when I say that. Varun Dhawan also shared that he now understands his father and his need to keep family together a little better. He recalled that his father David Dhawan would always call and ask about children and would expect them to come back home on time. “He just wanted everyone to be together as a tribe, as a pack. I would never get it, I’d be like, ‘What is his issue?’ I am not a child, why does he want to keep me near him,” Varun said. But now that he is a parent himself, he understands his father’s insecurities and hyper behaviour better. Varun Dhawan’s next venture is Baby John. Directed by Kalees, the movie is going to release on December 25, 2024. Varun plays a cop and a parent in the film.
