01.AI Releases New Flagship Model Yi-Lightning

AI company 01.AI founded by Kai-Fu Lee released its new flagship model Yi-Lightning on October 16th.

On the blind test list LMSYS, Yi-Lightning surpassed GPT-4o-2024-05-13 released by OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as Claude 3.5 Sonnet, ranking sixth in the world and first in China.

01.AI announced that in the global LMSYS model competition, China’s large-scale model has achieved the best performance surpassing OpenAI GPT-4o for the first time (Note: GPT-4o was released by OpenAI in May).

In addition to upgrading the model’s performance, 01.AI claims that Yi-Lightning’s inference speed has also improved. The first package time is half of Yi-Large released in the first half of this year, and the highest generation speed has increased by nearly 40%. At the same time, Yi-Lightning has further reduced inference costs.

Currently, Yi-Lightning has been launched on the open platform for Yi large models with a pricing of 0.99 yuan per million tokens.
