“Food. Food is a love language, or at least for me. However, I have also learned some things about my circle of people based on their food habits. Are they open to new foods? Do they eat everything on their plate? Leftovers? Do they eat slowly or fast?”
“One of my good friends is a wonderful human, to an extent. But that woman has the pallet of a picky 4-year-old, and while she’s amazing, she’s also very closed off to new opinions and views. My dad would eat or try just about anything, and the man could talk about anything you want and understand different lifestyles and views. One of my aunt’s ex-boyfriends, whom I met a few times, was a jerk; that guy didn’t like leftovers, ate cool food, ate slowly, made it a point to be the last one to finish, and didn’t like foods that he didn’t know were being made. Again, this could all be wrong, but the food is a language we all speak.”
