RHOBH’s Teddi Mellencamp Files For Divorce From Husband Edwin Arroyave
Mamie Gummer is beginning a new chapter in her life.
The eldest daughter of Meryl Streep and Don Gummer has filed for divorce from her husband Mehar Sethi after six years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by E! News.
In the Feb. 6 filing, Mamie shared that she and her husband—with whom she shares 5-year-old son Peter Sethi and 3-year-old daughter Mary Sethi—had been separated since May 2023.
In addition to requesting joint legal and physical custody of their children, the True Detective alum has asked for spousal support and that the TV screenwriter pay for her attorney fees and costs.
Although Mamie—who was previously married to Benjamin Walker from 2011 to 2013—and Mehar have kept their personal life private, they did share a glimpse into their family as the four attended the Los Angeles Blue “The Sign” premiere party at Walt Disney Studios last April.
E! News has reached out to reps for Mamie and Mehar for comment and has not heard back.
Mamie’s divorce filings come more than a year after Meryl’s spokesperson confirmed that the Mamma Mia! actress and Don—who also share kids Henry, 45, Grace, 38, and Louisa, 33—had been separated for “more than six years.”
“And while they will always care for each other,” her rep told E! News in October 2023, “they have chosen lives apart.”
The pair, who wed in 1978, last appeared together at the Oscars in 2018. But prior to their separation, Meryl—who’s been sparking romance rumors with Martin Short in recent months—did gush over Don’s support during her career.

“First, I’m going to thank Don,” she said during her acceptance speech after winning Best Actress for The Iron Lady at the 2012 Academy Awards, “because when you thank your husband at the end of the speech, they play him out with the music, and I want him to know that everything I value most in our lives, you’ve given me.”
Although Meryl had spoken about her relationship with the sculptor in the past, she made an effort to keep her children out of the spotlight until they could choose to do so.
“We really made an attempt to move them out of the public eye,” she told Kjersti Flaa in 2015. “I never had them photographed as children as I was really adamant that they not be seen as adorable props.”
