A Nigerian man who claims to know the UNIZIK lecturer assaulted by a student has weighed in on the controversy, stating that the devil used the young lady.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), he condemned the student’s actions, describing her move as both bold and regrettable. His reaction follows the viral video showing the female student slapping the lecturer, tearing his clothes, and biting him after he tried to seize her phone.
Reports suggest the altercation began when the lecturer allegedly tapped the student while passing through a walkway, prompting her reaction. She later claimed she had no idea he was a lecturer and accused him of inappropriately touching her. The lecturer, in turn, provided his own version of the incident.
Addressing the situation, the man advised the student to prepare for JAMB, as he believes she may not be able to continue her studies at UNIZIK.
His post read:
“I’m sorry for that girl who slapped and tore a lecturer’s shirt in UNIZIK today. First of all, I know that lecturer to be a very calm and respectful man in the Faculty of Arts, but the devil decided to use that young lady today.”
“She should just go and register for JAMB because the UNIZIK I attended won’t let her get away with it. If she knows what’s good for her, she should consider transferring to Benin, Ghana, or maybe a private university in Nigeria.”
“Even if the school forgives her, the lecturers in her department will make her studies unbearable.”
He further emphasized that even if the university grants her leniency, other lecturers might create academic difficulties for her.
