Wang Xiaofei Holds Wedding Celebration

Wang Xiaofei (汪小菲), the ex-husband of late actress Barbie Hsu, held a wedding ceremony with Mindy Ma (馬筱梅) at a courtyard restaurant in Beijing on May 17th. The couple has opted for a low-key wedding with only relatives and friends in attendance. Wang Xiaofei’s daughter and son from his marriage with Barbie were not seen at the wedding.

The newlywed made their grand entrance dress in traditional Chinese wedding attire. Mandy wore a red cheongsam and kept her attire minimalistic with little jewelry. Instead of wearing a dragon and phoenix bracelet set, Mandy only had three gold pieces: a headdress, a necklace and a bouquet. Wang Xiaofei wore a suit embroidered with a gold dragon motif.

After greeting the guests, the couple changed outfits into a Western wedding grown and suits. Mandy wore a low-cut wedding dress that that complimented her figure. During the couple’s vow, Wang Xiaofei made the guests laugh when he enthusiastically shouted “I do!” twice.

The newlyweds also prepared a gift box contained Chinese knots decoration, Bulgari products and porcelain vases to symbolize good luck and joy for the next chapter of their life. Wang Xiaofei’s mother, Zhang Lan (張蘭), also prepared three talismans for the newlywed to symbolize strength and wisdom.

It is rumored that Wang Xiaofei spent all his savings for this second marriage by buying a new house and a diamond embedded wedding dress. A financial blogger who calls himself “Stock Index Future 998” claims that Wang Xiaofei’s betrothal gift costed nearly 6.66 million. However, the blogger did not specify if the amount was in Chinese yuan or New Taiwan dollars.
