Maalik box office collection day 2: Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chillar’s film received mix reviews and it bas outshined Shanaya Kapoor and Vikrant Massey’s film Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan.

Rajkummar Rao’s gangster-drama Maalik witnessed a low opening, but now the film has shown a good growth on its second day. Directed by Pulkit, Maalik focuses on Rajkummar as a cold-blooded overlord and the masses are praising his exceptional performance in the film. The film has been getting mixed reviews. As per Sacnilk, the initial collection of Saturday showcases a decent weekend. Audiences are getting attracted and rushing to watch Maalik in theatres. Rajkummar’s never-seen-before dreadful avatar has left everyone shocked.

Maalik’s box office report day 2
As Sacnilk reports, the earlier collection of Maalik for Saturday is around Rs 5.45 crores. Maalik has earned Rs 9.47 crores and the movie might earn Maalik has earned Rs 9 crores on the weekend. The weekend collection stands at Rs 15-17 crores. Chennai leds the occupancy charts with 26.67%, followed by Lucknow (24.00%) and Jaipur (22.00%). Mumbai and Delhi NCR underperformed with 13.00% and 14.25% occupancy.

Maalik’s occupancy, on Saturday was around 14.16%, with 6.40% in the morning shows, 16.95% in the afternoon shows, and 19.14% in the evening shows. Maalik is facing tough competition from Superman, Aankhon Ki Gustaakiyaan and Metro In Dino. The film released in theatres on July 11 and witnessed a modest start at the box office. The film is written by Jyotsana Nath and Pulkit. The movie could not match opening numbers of Bhool Chuk Maaf, which collected Rs 7 crore on Day 1 and also fell short of The Diplomat, John Abraham’s political thriller which earned Rs 4.20 crore on its first day.

Maalik stars Manushi Chhillar, Sourabh Shukla, Sourabh Sachdeva, and Prosenjit Chatterjee in key roles. Directed by Pulkit, the film is produced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner in collaboration with Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films.
