Confirming the sad development, filmmaker Ben Cassie took to Instagram to pen a tribute to the late creative.
She wrote in part:
“It is hard for some of us to see those who genuinely wish us well. In an industry of snakes and scorpions, you stood different. You only wanted to make good films. To be kidnapped and killed is such a heart-wrenching way to leave this earth,”
The tribute has since gone viral, resonating with many who admired Vic Matt’s calmness, integrity, and unwavering support for young filmmakers.
