Huawei tops global smartwatch shipments in Q2 2025

Huawei claimed the top spot in global smartwatch shipments in Q2 2025, according to Counterpoint Research. The brand also surpassed Apple’s global market share in terms of smartwatch shipments during the same quarter.

The global smartwatch market, which was in decline since Q1 2024, finally saw an 8 percent YoY growth. The China market played a major role in the recovery thanks to increased demand. As per the report, Huawei saw a 52 percent growth in shipments and attained a 21 percent shipments market share.

Xiaomi saw a 38 percent increase in shipments, whereas another Chinese brand Imoo noted 21 percent growth YoY in Q2 2025. This surge helped China emerge as the leading contributor to global smartwatch shipments.

In contrast, Apple and Samsung each saw a 3 percent decline in shipments worldwide, though Apple continues to dominate the advanced smartwatch segment.

The smartwatch market is expected to continue its recovery in 2025 and could grow by 7 percent, the report noted.
