Train Mokitons in Path to Tamer Town
During the latest Monster Taming Direct, indie studio Crazy Goat Games unveiled its newest project, Path to Tamer Town, surprising fans who know the studio for its city-building titles. Scheduled to launch in Early Access on PC via Steam in the first quarter of 2026, the game will see a full release along with console versions in the third quarter of the same year.
Crazy Goat Games has previously earned attention for its horror-themed city builder Worshippers of Cthulhu and is currently developing Tamer Town, a monster-taming game with city-building mechanics. With Path to Tamer Town, the studio takes a bold step into the roguelite genre, blending familiar monster-taming elements with procedurally generated routes, cities, and events to create a dynamic, replayable adventure.
Unlike Tamer Town, which emphasizes constructing and managing a thriving community of tamers and their creatures, Path to Tamer Town centers on the journey itself. Players will assemble teams of Mokitons, train them, and face a series of challenges that test strategy, adaptability, and resource management. Every playthrough promises unique encounters, with cities, routes, and events changing each time, ensuring a fresh experience with every run.
The game is designed to combine the addictive charm of monster collection with the unpredictable excitement of roguelite gameplay. Players can expect to explore a variety of environments, encounter unusual creatures, and make strategic decisions that influence the outcome of their adventure. By merging procedural generation with careful monster progression, Crazy Goat Games aims to deliver a title that balances strategy, exploration, and replayability, providing both fans of Tamer Town and newcomers with an engaging and ever-changing world to conquer.
Path to Tamer Town marks a new chapter for Crazy Goat Games, expanding its portfolio while retaining the creativity and depth that have defined the studio’s previous works.
