The major crisis in the German automotive industry is getting worse every day. Now, a major manufacturer of radiator grilles, emblems, and chrome interior parts is going bankrupt. Plastic Manufacturing had over 1,000 employees at three locations in Germany.
Now the company is collapsing and has been forced to file for bankruptcy for its German businesses. Plastic Manufacturing produces plastic and chrome parts for Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Mini, Porsche, and other brands within the Volkswagen Group. But now the business is at risk. The company has three factories in Germany.
Bankruptcy trustee Wolker Böhm from the law firm Schultze & Braun has now taken over the job and will try to ensure that the car giants receive deliveries of radiator grilles and logos. Employees will receive salaries from the bankruptcy guarantee for two months.
The bankruptcy trustee will contact car manufacturers to see if they are willing to help save the company. Otherwise, they risk producing vehicles without grilles on the front grille and logos on the engine covers.
