Score Hole in One in Golf 5
Golf 5 receives a significant upgrade as AAA Game Studios launches the Playoff Edition update on Meta Quest, SteamVR, and Pico 4. The VR golf title now features remastered versions of Golden Dunes, Forest Parkland, and Tropical Paradise, along with seven real-life courses such as Royal County Down and the landmark St. Andrews Old Course. These locations can be unlocked through progression or the in-game store, giving players an expanded world to explore.
The update brings new online modes that add variety to multiplayer play. Fourball Mode focuses on team strategy by counting only the strongest score on each hole. Flash 3 Holes Mode delivers fast rounds for quick sessions. Scramble Mode leans into cooperative play, with the group’s best swing guiding each shot. These additions build on the game’s blend of realism and accessibility.
Golf 5’s High Precision Control Physics engine remains central to the experience. It perfectly analyzes club speed, spin rate, and other data points to create true-to-life results. Long-term skill tracking through the XTi Pro Launch Manager and matchmaking designed with the International eGolf Federation give players a clear sense of progression. Practice remains varied between the driving range, putting green, and WIPP Mode, which covers all major shot types, while Minigolf Mode offers a more playful alternative.
Players can work toward new Callaway clubsets by climbing the online rankings. They can even customize their playstyle through expanded left and right-hand swing support and improved controller attachment settings. The update also smooths overall performance and introduces a refined main menu styled after an elegant country club. Antonio Marín, CEO and co-founder of AAA Game Studios, highlights the continued focus on accuracy and depth for both newcomers and seasoned players. The Playoff Edition update is now available with multilingual support.
