JBL Launches Grip in Malaysia: A Tough, Ultra-Portable Speaker Built to Grab and Go

JBL has officially introduced the JBL Grip, a rugged ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker designed for music lovers who want powerful sound in a grab-and-go form factor. Compact yet durable, the JBL Grip delivers signature JBL Pro Sound, built-in ambient lighting and full IP68 dust, water and drop protection — making it ready for outdoor adventures, travel, workouts or daily commutes.

Despite its pocket-friendly size, the JBL Grip packs a punch with 16W output and AI Sound Boost, a proprietary technology that analyses music in real time to optimize the driver and enhance bass performance without distortion. Users can pair two Grips together for stereo sound or connect multiple speakers via Auracastâ„¢ for a bigger, room-filling audio experience.

Designed for active lifestyles, the speaker includes an integrated rope hook for easy attachment to backpacks, bikes, kayaks or tents. Its upright, vertical design reflects its on-the-go purpose, complete with a stacked vertical JBL logo for a bold, modern look. A customizable ambient light panel on the back lets users set the mood with adjustable colours and intensity through the JBL Portable app.

The JBL Grip delivers up to 12 hours of playtime, with an additional 2 hours available using Playtime Boost, which fine-tunes the sound profile for louder, cleaner output.

Available now in six colours — black, white, purple, red, blue and squad — the JBL Grip retails for RM599. It can be purchased through authorised dealers, JBL’s official website, Lazada and Shopee.
