Alain Clark has shared his brand new single ‘Pressed Out Emotions’, released via A Sides.

Hailing from the Netherlands, the vocalist and producer pieces together a rich, soul-baring offering. An embrace for warm riffs and dynamic harmonies, the track spotlights the artist’s familiar, laid-back vocal performance, tapping into the back and forth of romance. Across, the artist taps into his foundational influences, the likes of Otis Redding, Steve Wonder and Marvin Gaye, bringing an honest, playful sentiment to R&B and pop.

Amassing over 130 million plays across streaming platforms, Alain Clark has established a name for himself across the globe, flitting between Amsterdam, Los Angeles, California and his home city. Spending his early years playing in his father’s band, Soulful Blues Quality, the artist leans into the live qualities of his music and draws close focus to his songwriting. Speaking on the creative process, Clark shares: “Recording ‘Pressed Out Emotions’ with James Gadson on drums and Pino Palladino on bass was like going to the groove casino with super favourable odds. The track to me feels like an all analog, lowrider cruise down Crenshaw Blvd, car windows down with a golden hour palm tree backdrop.”
