ZTE Blade A75 5G quietly launches, a version of the nubia Focus with a 50MP main lens

Early this year, ZTE unveiled the nubia Focus, an affordable camera phone with a 108MP main sensor and 5G connectivity thanks to a Unisoc T760 chipset. Now the company has quietly launched a more affordable variant of this phone under the name ZTE Blade A75 5G.

ZTE Blade A75 5G: 50+2MP camera • Unisoc T760 chipset

The main difference is that it drops the high resolution sensor and replaces it with a more basic 50MP camera. It is still partnered up with a 2MP depth sensor. On the plus side, the selfie camera was upgraded from 5MP to 8MP.

The rest is more or less the same – the front has a 6.6” IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate and only HD+ resolution. The back is made of glass and comes in two colors: Mint Green and Diamond Black. And it has a cool-looking camera island on it, though here it is more for show (the same design language is used in the much more capable nubia Z60S Pro, for example). We will also note that the fingerprint reader is mounted on the side, as is common on LCD-equipped phones.

Anyway, the Blade A75 is powered by the Unisoc T760. This is a 6nm chip with four Cortex-A76 cores (one of which runs at 2.2GHz) and four A55 cores, plus a Mali-G57 GPU. On this phone, it is paired with 128GB of (relatively) fast UFS 3.1 storage and 4GB of RAM (with the option for 4GB virtual RAM).

The battery retains the 5,000mAh capacity of the Focus, but not the charge speed, instead you get a basic 18W charge rate. The phone is launching with Android 13 out of the box and there’s no mention of how many updates to expect.

The ZTE Blade A75 5G comes in Mint Green and Diamond Black

The ZTE Blade A75 5G is already available in some regions. We spotted it in a store in the Philippines at a price of PHP 5,450 (this converts to $100/€90/₹8,150). It’s also available in Bulgaria, but there it is pricier at BGN 340 ($195/€175/₹16,200), though it does come with a free pair of TWS buds (TTEC Mode).
