With Friday night figures now coming in, it looks as though “Terrifier 3” will be the top film at the box-office this weekend.

Budgeted at just $2 million, the ultra gory slasher film is set to take in an estimated $7.7 million on its opening day Friday, a number that includes the $2 million it made in Thursday night previews.

Right now its on track for an opening of at least $15 million – possibly $20 million if it’s not too front-loaded. Reviews have been fairly positive for the title as well.

It will easily take the win with second going to Dreamworks’ highly acclaimed animated film “Wild Robot” which is headed for a $13.1 million third weekend – dropping just 31%.

In third will be “Joker: Folie à Deux”. All eyes are on how much of a drop-off the film will have in its second weekend and going by Friday’s numbers of just $2.8 million that drop is looking to be around 77% – down to as little as $8-9 million in its second weekend.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” with $6.7 million and “Transformers One” with $4.1 million will round out the top five. Jason Reitman’s “Saturday Night” has gone wide but is only pulling in $4 million for the weekend – the platform release strategy didn’t particularly work for the title.

The Pharrell Williams biopic “Piece by Piece” is looking to snag just $3 million in its debut, and the much touted Donald Trump biopic “The Apprentice” is headed for just a $1.3-1.5 million opening weekend.
