Delta varsity gets new vice chancellor

The Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointment of Prof. Samuel Asagba as the new Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, copies of which were made available to journalists in Warri on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the appointment will take effect from December 1, 2024.

A Professor of Environmental Biochemistry and Toxicology, Asagba had previously served the University in various capacities, including serving as deputy vice-chancellor (Administration) as well as Provost of the defunct Asaba campus.
