A social media user has quizzed hiplife artist, Edem, on his recent rant against people begging him for money to rent.

Edem jumped on social media in a foul mood after a fan asked him for some Ghc 2,000 to help them settle their rent.

The ‘Heyba’ hitmaker slammed the fan and others who beg people for money to rent in Accra.

According to him, rent in Accra is expensive hence if you’re unable to pay for it you might as well go back to your village where you will have a free house waiting for you.

His rant split social media as some people wholeheartedly agreed with him while others jumped on him for being insensitive.

One fan’s response which quickly went viral had a simple question for the rapper.
