On December 3rd, 2024, the PlayStation brand will officially turn 30 years old. (If that makes you feel old, you’re not alone!)

It’s a big milestone, naturally, so to celebrate, PlayStation has unveiled some new anniversary initiatives this week.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (PS5) — $25.99 (regularly $64.99)
Wolfenstein: Alt History Collection (PS4) — $15.99 (regularly $79.99)

The sale runs until December 20th. Check out the full list of deals here.

It should be noted that this sale has a lot of older games, given that it’s focused on the anniversary. If you want deals on newer titles, check out our round-up of Black Friday gaming deals, which includes big 2024 PS5 titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Astro Bot and Silent Hill 2.

Additionally, PlayStation has quietly added five free new theme options on the PS5 for the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 and 30th anniversary in general. The console-specific ones emulate their respective platforms’ visual styles and sound effects. Unfortunately, these themes are only set to be available for a “limited time,” but hopefully, PlayStation will eventually make them permanent additions.

If you want a deeper dive into the past, PlayStation has also dropped a website that takes you through the entire history of the brand, from notable dates and pieces of hardware to key games and even boss fights.

And finally, PlayStation dropped a special ‘Thank You’ 30th anniversary video paying tribute to the many games that have appeared on its platforms over the last three decades. If you weren’t already feeling nostalgic, this will definitely hit you in the feels.

Other anniversary celebrations PlayStation has held this year include special edition hardware, digital God of War soundtracks, a free version of Gran Turismo 7 and free multiplayer weekends.
