AGI Robot Company Xiaoyu Bot Completes A Billion Yuan Series A Financing

The first large-scale robot company invested by Xiaomi – Beijing Xiaoyu Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xiaoyu Bot) has completed a billion yuan angel investing round.

“Embodied intelligence” refers to integrating artificial intelligence into physical entities such as robots, giving them the ability to perceive, learn, and dynamically interact with the environment, which is one of the directions for the development of artificial intelligence technology.

It is reported that this round of funding was exclusively invested by the Beijing Information Industry Development Investment Fund. This is after receiving angel investing from Xiaomi Group, Professor Wang Tianmiao, Beijing Zhiguan Research Institute and other billion-dollar investments in previous rounds. Xiaoyu Bot once again received funding in the billion-yuan range.

Xiaoyu Bot was established in January 2023 and is a technology company focusing on the research and development of general artificial intelligence robots. The founding members of the team come from tech companies such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Microsoft, and ByteDance. Xiaoyu Bot has developed the “Xiaoyu Brain,” a universal robot brain that enables robots to perform various tasks in industrial environments.

In terms of the team, Xiaoyu Bot’s founder Qiao Zhongliang, as one of the founding members of Xiaomi, previously served as the head of MIUI development; co-founder Wang Wenlin previously served as the general manager of Xiaomi‘s software system platform department and led the development of “Xiaomi Brain”.
