Two major players in the television market will add artificial intelligence (AI) using software from another major tech giant.

LG and Samsung announced at CES that they will add Microsoft’s Copilot AI chatbot to some of their smart TVs in 2025.

Both companies will aim to use the advancements in AI with dedicated sections within select TV and monitor models, which will have access to the Copilot web app.

LG will add an entire AI section to its TVs and rebrand its remote control as an “AI Remote.” According to The Verge, LG will use Copilot to allow users to “efficiently find and organize complex information using contextual clues. ”

Although LG hasn’t demonstrated the Copilot integration, they have shown off their own AI Chatbot as another part of the TV. It seems like Copilot will appear when looking to learn more information on a topic shown on screen.

Samsung has shown off its own AI brand, Vision AI. It will be used in several features, which were demonstrated at CES. Some of these include AI upscaling, ‘Auto HDR Remastering,’ and ‘Adaptive Sound Pro.’ There will also be a button that will use AI to perform tasks like recognizing food on screen, translating content, smart home integration, and more.

Samsung will use Copilot alongside their new Vision AI, stating in a press release that this partnership “will enable users to explore a wide range of Copilot services, including personalized content recommendations.”

The new features will be on Samsung’s OLED, QLED, Neo QLED, and The Frame models.
