Portishead’s Beth Gibbons Announces First-Ever U.S. Solo Concerts

Portishead’s Beth Gibbons has announced her first-ever solo concerts in North America. Her tour in support of her debut solo album, Lives Outgrown, includes live performances in Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles, with support from Bill Ryder-Jones. See her complete list of tour dates below. Find tickets here.

Gibbons announced Lives Outgrown with the single “Floating on a Moment,” and also shared “Lost Changes” and “Reaching Out” ahead of the full LP’s release. James Ford produced the album alongside Gibbons, with additional production from Talk Talk drummer Lee Harris.

The final Portishead album to date, Third, came out nearly 17 years ago, and Gibbons played her most recent U.S. shows, behind that album, with the band in 2011. Gibbons’ interim projects include an appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s song “Mother I Sober,” the JJ Doom collaboration “GMO,” a Black Sabbath cover with a metal band, and the soundtrack contribution “Prospera’s Coda” for a film adaptation of The Tempest.
