16 Corporate Parties That Left a Smile on the Employees’ Faces

Many people have been to a corporate party at least once — some of us look forward to these events, while others prefer to stay away from them. After all, you never know how the evening will end when coworkers get relaxed and let themselves go. But sometimes these parties leave really vivid memories or even strengthen friendships in the team.

We had a corporate party at work. I did a high hairstyle with 2 strands framing my face and dressed up — just the queen of the ball. During a break, I decided to remove food remnants between my teeth, but I had no floss. In desperation, I locked myself in the kitchen, plucked a few hairs out of my hairstyle and started flossing. But who knew that some of my coworkers were on the balcony at that time and saw everything. But they were even glad to see me, because someone accidentally locked them there. © Overheard / Ideer

Before the corporate party, the director of our company said, “No more chilling in restaurants, we are a solid company and we will have an adult party!” And then he added, “Presence is mandatory! Those who don’t come won’t get a bonus.” Turned out that “adult party,” in his opinion, meant skating at the ice palace. Some of my coworkers were even happy, and I remembered my last skating experience, which ended with my broken nose. In the end, we got into a bus and went to the ice palace. Adults were running on the ice like crazy there. Our team decided to keep up with the professionals and, thinking they were the league of champions, got the idea to take gold. I also wanted gold, or at least the bonus, so I obediently put on my skates and went out onto the ice with a serious look. But on the ice my feet were moving apart, my balance was off, and I was more in the way of others than skating. I was left without gold, but with a firm decision not to conquer ice arenas anymore. And then I took off my skates and went riding the bus. © ShelkovaKatya / Pikabu

The director called everyone into the meeting room and said, “There will be a corporate party. I’m giving everyone an envelope with an assignment. The meeting is over!” Everyone looked at each confused. I said to my coworker, “He probably wants us to wear costumes.” I open the envelope, and there’s $200 and a note, “You need to buy what you want. Happy New Year!” I didn’t expect this. Actually no one expected this, because everyone had the same “task,” and the director had never been generous before.Corporate party. A coworker was telling us about how he got his finger stuck in a bottle as a child. I didn’t believe it. I’m a hero. I’m not like him, and my fingers are thin. That’s what I thought. Many thanks to the urgent care center staff for helping me and clearing my mind. © Overheard / IdeerOne year I was asked if I’d be willing to dress up as Santa for our Holiday Party. I didn’t think I was going to be very convincing but reluctantly agreed. Day of the party we were all hanging out in the warehouse eating cookies and drinking coffee and having breakfast and I told the few people I was sitting with that I had to go outside and make a call. I really went to go change into my Santa costume. I came back yelling Ho Ho Ho as loud as I could, put on my best jolly old man voice, drew names out of hat, handed out prizes, took pictures with staff, ate cookies, then said I had to go as my sleigh was double parked… Came back in after changing and the amount of people that legitimately thought I missed Santa was very surprising. People I stood next to and took pictures with were telling me how I missed out. I couldn’t believe it. At first, I thought people were just being nice or just joshing me, but throughout the day people kept asking who Santa was and telling me how bummed I must be for missing it. © RonsterTM / Reddit

I went with my coworkers to an improvised corporate party. 4 women who always behaved normally in the office started dancing on the tables and flirting with other men. The funny thing is that 3 of these ladies were married and the fourth had a boyfriend. Now I don’t even feel like talking to them. While the boring colleague, with whom we always argued about work issues, turned out to be a normal guy. © Overheard / IdeerAs a child I loved singing, but over time I abandoned this hobby because of my studies and work. At the corporate party, my coworkers persuaded me to sing karaoke. I hesitated, but finally agreed. And you know what? The fact that I continued to sing at home finally brought its fruit. My performance got a lot of applause and praise! I didn’t expect it, but people really loved it! The coworkers were delighted and offered me to perform at the next corporate party. This incident inspired me to enrol in a vocal studio and start singing again. I found great pleasure in it and now I sing not only for myself, but also for my friends and colleagues. And I’m even thinking of trying to go to cafes and offer my services there. I am very happy now! © Chamber 6 / VK

Once we organized a small corporate barbecue party in the countryside. We bought too much meat, so we made so much burgers that everyone had enough, and there was still as much left. Nobody wanted to take them home, so my mate and I went back to town and just gave these burgers to some random men. You should have seen their faces! They couldn’t believe that this could happen in real life. © Overheard / IdeerOnly recently I realized how much my boyfriend loves me. He noticed that I was very tired after working 24/7, so he sat down and hemmed my dress for a corporate party. He was sitting very focused with his tongue sticking out and muttering something under his breath, like a professional seamstress. © Overheard / IdeerLast year our HR manager was on maternity leave, so there was no one to organize the Christmas corporate party. In the end, I got the money for the food. Then together with my colleagues, we agreed who would cook what. With the General Manager, we agreed on gifts to employees from the company and organized the Secret Santa. We celebrated in the office, there were 20 of us, the table was full with delicious food, it was fun and homely. Awesome! © hyperboloid1 / PikabuSince it’s me and my barn people, I love it. Everybody brings some kind of food, we spend Christmas Eve wrapping gifts from Santa for families we’ve never met and about 10-11 p.m. we drive over, drop all the gifts and take off. We’ve been doing this for decades and my kids are scattered to multiple states but they all come home for this. They say it’s the best part of Christmas. © Flimsy-Attention-722 / Reddit

I am a lawyer. Finally, at the end of the year, I finished all the court cases and even prepared the contracts for the next year. I sit relaxed and proud of myself. Now I can take care of my personal stuff and start choosing gifts for my loved ones. And then bang! The director comes in and says, “Tonight we’ll have a corporate party, and tomorrow we’ll be eating what’s left after today.” They won’t let you rest at work! © KumirEvreev / PikabuHad our corporate party today. We usually have homemade pancakes and a ton of other food. I’ve been stuffed all day, and nobody does any work. I like it. © hells_cowbells / RedditA coworker tried to seduce our director at the corporate party. She tried to get at him this way and that way, but it didn’t work. So she decided to dance on the chair in front of him. Oh, she fell off it in a big way! The director was very impressed. But not in the way the girl had hoped — he reprimanded her. © SON5SON / ADMEOur boss is always full of ideas. He organized a corporate party and obliged everyone to come in a creative costume. And then added that there would be a vote for the scariest costume. And there would be prizes. The boss is terribly allergic to peanuts. So, we celebrate, and then one of the employees comes in wearing a costume of a huge peanut. Of course, he was unanimously chosen as the winner. © Overheard / IdeerA huge agency in the TV/Film industry had a party at the Aviation museum in Long Beach California. Nothing really crazy. I met Tom Cruise, he was very nice, sense of humor. This was mid 90s. © Unknown author / RedditAnd if you like home parties, here are 9 ideas for the best party games.
