Kailyn Lowry is returning to MTV … kind of.
The reality star makes a surprise cameo in the new trailer for “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” — as seen in an exclusive first look shared with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” — nearly three years after exiting the long-running TV franchise.
“Hey!” she tells former castmates Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra as they greet the “16 & Pregnant” alum in front of cameras.
“What are you doing here?” a surprised Baltierra asks, to which Lowry playfully responds, “What are you doing here?”

Apparently, Lowry, 32, met up with the couple — as well as series vet Maci Bookout — to discuss some of the drama playing out as production for the show progressed.
In the clip, Lowell, also 32, opens up to Lowry about the challenges she and Baltierra, 33, have been experiencing with Brandon and Teresa Davis, the adoptive parents of their firstborn daughter, Carly, 15.
“Teresa said she needs to have a very sincere apology,” Lowell says in the sneak peek before retorting, “I deserve a f—king apology.”
Lowell and Baltierra — who parent daughters Novalee, 10, Vaeda, 5, and Rya, 3 — have been vocal about their ongoing discord with Brandon and Teresa, who once participated in filming “Teen Mom” and even facilitated frequent meetups with Carly.

However, Brandon and Teresa eventually retreated from the spotlight and have encouraged Lowell and Baltierra, who wed in August 2015, to cease communication with Carly altogether.
“They definitely have 100 percent closed the adoption,” Lowell shared in a Jan. 27 interview with E! News.
“I’m still blocked [on social media] and they recently told me to quit sending gifts [to Carly] because it was inappropriate and uncalled for, just a whole bunch of things.”

Perhaps Lowell and Baltierra will share more on the matter with listeners of their new podcast, “Cate & Ty: Break It Down,” launching Feb. 25 with PodcastOne and Lowry’s KILLR Podcast Network.
“A podcast over 16 years in the making!” their pair wrote in part in a social media announcement last week.
“We’re diving into all things life in our 30s — from friends to family, marriage, and everything in between!”

Lowry, who has built an impressive podcasting career in recent years, announced her departure from “Teen Mom 2” in May 2022 after more than a decade on air.
“I think I need to move on,” she said during a virtual appearance at a reunion taping with co-hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab. “I think I need to do my own thing. I think this needs to be my farewell. I think I’m ready.”
“Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” — which premiered in September 2022 and has convened cast members from several spinoffs, including “Teen Mom OG,” “Teen Mom 2” and “Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant” — airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
