Gabriela Hearst Fall 2025 Menswear

Gabriela Hearst described this menswear collection a “forerunner” of the women’s show she’ll put on next month. For anyone curious about what to expect come March 10, the date for her second-ever show in Paris, vivid color and textures that feel good in the hands are safe bets.

What these photos don’t show is the efforts of Hearst and her team to create her clothes more responsibly. The denim, for example, is made from 100% recycled cotton. “This was done from scratch, “ she said. “We had to resource the materials, research how to make the denim, and figure out the dyeing process.” It comes in a yellow she’s calling golden birch and a particularly vibrant cobalt blue. A zip-front fur, meanwhile, was made by repurposing mink coats upcycled from Italy. Chalk it up to the cold winter or to a pendulum swing, but real fur has been turning up on the streets here in New York. This is one way to address that demand; Hearst isn’t likely to use the faux stuff, as it’s made from synthetics.

Aesthetically, these suits and separates jibe to the 1970s vibes seen on other men’s runways this season. The lean cut of the jackets and the long, softly flared pants have something of a vintage rock star about them. The Lumineers’ Wesley Schultz is often seen in a double-breaster in a deep shade of bordeaux that wouldn’t be out of place in this lineup.
