Bandits Kill Katsina Miyetti Allah Chairman, Kidnap His Two Wives, Daughter

According to MACBAN National President, Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma, the attackers, who struck at 10 pm on Sunday, also kidnapped his two wives and daughter.

Alhaji Surajo Ahmed, the Katsina State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has been killed by suspected bandits who attacked his residence in Mai Rana community, Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State.

According to MACBAN National President, Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma, the attackers, who struck at 10 pm on Sunday, also kidnapped his two wives and daughter.

He added that the association has contacted the police and other security agencies to investigate the matter and ensure the release of the kidnap victims.

“The incident happened yesterday around 10 pm in the night. We have contacted police and other security bodies for intervention,” he said.

Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Katsina State Command, did not answer his calls or reply to a text message sent to him.

Last year, SaharaReporters reported that a coalition of Fulani groups in Plateau State lost 350 members between October 2023 and January 2024.

The groups also claimed that it lost 834 cows within the period in various communities in Barkin Ladi, Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of the state.

It said that the atrocities committed against the Fulani included the razing of more than 115 villages, which destroyed properties and food items.

The group explained that household properties worth billions of naira were also lost during the carnage, adding that Fulani communities were displaced from eight districts including Mangu, Panyam, Pushit, Kerang, Bwoi, Kombun, Ampang and Mangum.

A coalition of Fulani groups in Plateau State on Sunday stated that it had lost no fewer than 350 members between October 2023 and January 2024 in the state. The groups also claimed that it lost 834 cows within the said period in various communities of Barkin Ladi, Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of the state, according to Daily Trust.
