Beauty Marks: The Best Beauty Looks of the Week

Welcome to Beauty Marks: the first in a new Vogue series rounding up the best in beauty each week. From shock dye jobs to sculptural nail art, bobs (and more bobs), and trend-transcending makeup looks: each new week brings something for your Pinterest board and next nail appointment.

Kicking off 2025 strong, it was a week for experimentation. Whether on the beach pretending it’s not January, or on the awards season red carpet, playfulness ruled supreme. At this year’s Golden Globes, Emma Stone—no stranger to a hair transformation—debuted a chocolate brown pixie cut. On the red carpet for the National Board of Review Awards, A Complete Unknown’s Elle Fanning leaned into the lightness in pastel Valentino and let her freckles shine with a sheer makeup base. Olympian Jordan Chiles brought a strong show of nail art to her first gymnastics meet of the year, while Ayo Edebiri brought the bling to her teeth. Keke Palmer kept her bob razor-sharp, and SZA looked every bit of a scene queen with some pink highlights. Blackpink’s Lisa was chic with reality-defying, piecey bangs, Queer’s Drew Starkey shocked stans with a double bleach job, and model Sheila Bawar accessorized her hair with seashell charms for her dreamy jaunts to the seaside. Scroll below for the best of beauty.
