Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences over the death of Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari, the mother of Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda.
In a message, Buhari conveyed his “deepest sympathies” to the governor, emphasizing the irreplaceable role of a mother in one’s life.
Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
He acknowledged Hajiya Safara’u’s contributions to women’s causes and community service, praying that “Allah reward her good deeds” and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
It read, “No matter how big a person becomes, they need their mother.
“The thoughts and prayers of my family are with you and your family during this difficult period as we remember her life and service to women and the community at large.
“May Allah reward her good deeds, and her legacy an inspiration to her descendants and future generations. May Allah grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.”
Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari passed away peacefully on Saturday night at the age of 93, PUNCH Online earlier reported.
She was described as a woman of remarkable strength and dignity, whose wisdom flowed from decades of lived experience.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu also earlier extended his condolences to Radda, praying for the repose of Hajiya Safara’u’s soul and for strength and comfort for her family during this period of mourning.
