ByteDance Teases Smart Hardware ‘Ola Friend’, Likely Smart Earbuds

On October 8th, Doubao‘s official account on Xiaohongshu released a teaser poster with the caption ‘ByteDance Doubao’s smart hardware?’ More information will be announced at 11 am on October 10th.

Ola Friend, the official Weibo account has also been launched, with content similar to that of the Doubao official account. It is called ‘Exploring new ways of using AI’.

The news states that the first product of ByteDance’s AI hardware team is smart earphones, which will be embedded with the Doubao large model and combined with the conversation-based AI application Doubao App to be launched in August 2023. After wearing the smart earphones, users can use Doubao anytime through voice conversations, and they can also control this earphone on the Doubao App.
