Director Aswath Marimuthu Discusses College Senior’s Story in Dragon

Pradeep Ranganathan, known for his work as both an actor and director in “Love Today”, is starring in his next film, “Dragon”. Produced by Kalpathi S. Agoram under AGS Entertainment, the film is directed by Ashwath Marimuttu of “Oh My Kadavule” fame. Scheduled to release on the 21st, the movie explores the life of a college senior whose prominence fades after graduation. The character, nicknamed “Dragon,” portrays the untold story of such individuals.

Pradeep plays the titular role as a senior in college, and the narrative focuses on his life during and after college, shedding light on success, failure, and life’s challenges. According to director Ashwath, while he and Pradeep studied in the same college, the story is fictional, with a beautifully crafted screenplay. Despite the immense expectations following the success of “Love Today,” Ashwath assures fans that “Dragon” will meet their anticipation.

The film stars Anupama Parameswaran and Kyra Lohar as heroines, with Anupama dubbing in her own voice. Notably, Simbu has sung a song titled “Break Up” composed by Leon James, which was conceived with creative input from the team. Displaying dedication, Simbu also participated in promotional activities, much to the team’s surprise.

As for Ashwath’s future projects, he confirmed a fantasy film with Simbu as his next directorial venture. The project was delayed earlier due to the pandemic but promises to unveil a new imaginative world, showcasing Simbu’s versatility.
