Double the Fun, Double the Flavor!

Sun TV, in collaboration with leading television production house Media Masons, is proud to announce the launch of Top Cooku Dupe Cooku Season 2, launching on August 17th, 2025 premieringwith a 2-hour special episode, followed by regular telecasts every Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 3 PM.

Launched on May 19th,2024, Top Cooku Dupe Cookuseason 1introduced Tamil audiences to a fresh and exciting cooking competition format. In this high-energy culinary face-off, 9 celebrity home cooks are paired with 9 not-so-skilled dupe cooks and guided by 3 mentor chefs. The show is not just a battle between cooks, but also between the mentor chefs, who lead their respective teams with strategy, skill, and spirit.

Season 1 was a runaway success, winning over viewers with its perfect mix of entertainment, cooking challenges, and heartwarming moments. The finale crowned Narendra Prasad (NP) and Sujatha as joint winners, who shared the prize money of ₹20 lakhs.

The tagline RenduThaanTrendu perfectly captures the season’s theme of “double the excitement.” From two episodes a week to two charismatic anchors, two expert judges, a 2 PM telecast slot, and of course, the fact that it’s Season 2, this year is all about twos. This season, viewers can expect fresh challenges, innovative rounds, and edge-of-the-seat entertainment. The format remains the same – celebrity Top Cooks paired with Dupe Cooks, all mentored by three culinary masters – but with new twists that will keep audiences guessing.

Judges & Hosts

Renowned culinary masters Chef Venkatesh Bhat and Chef RamMohan return to the judging panel for Season 2. Chef Venkatesh Bhat, one of Tamil Nadu’s most celebrated chefs, is a household name thanks to his unmatched culinary expertise, television charisma, and ability to blend traditional South Indian flavors with global techniques. His presence has been one of the biggest draws of the show, offering audiences insightful feedback, warm mentorship, and engaging rapport with contestants.

Chef RamMohan, with his rich culinary experience, brings depth, precision, and a unique perspective to the panel. Friends since college, Bhat and RamMohan share an effortless chemistry-often joining in the fun and banter but turning razor-sharp and fair when it comes to the judging.

On the hosting front, Rakesh returns with his trademark charm and quick wit, joined by Sivaangi Krishnakumar, whose infectious energy, humor, and lovable on-screen persona have made her one of South India’s most adored personalities. Together, they promise to keep the laughter and energy flowing throughout the season.
