Nigeria men’s basketball team, D’Tigers have advanced to the quarter-finals of the FIBA men’s AfroBasket with a perfect group stage outing.
D’Tigers started their campaign with a win over Madagascar before also beating defending champions Tunisia in their second group fixture.
The Nigerian men successfully wrapped the group phase with three wins out of three as they saw off Cameroon with a 99-90 scoreline.

They finish top of Group B, and have berth a quarter-final spot, alongside hosts Angola and Egypt so far.
In the first quarter, D’Tigers won 28-25, in the second quarter it was 30-16 in their favour and also in the third quarter, they edged their opponents 26-12.
But they almost bottled it in the fourth and final quarter, as the Cameroonians put up a better performance to win the quarter by 37-15.
D’Tigers will now face either Senegal or South Sudan in the quarter-finals billed for August 20.
