EXO’s Xiumin, Lee Kyung Kyu, And So Yi Hyun Confirmed As Judges For “Mister Trot 3”

EXO’s Xiumin, Lee Kyung Kyu, and So Yi Hyun will be joining TV Chosun’s “Mister Trot 3” as judges!

On October 14, TV Chosun announced that veteran entertainer Lee Kyung Kyu, actress So Yi Hyun, and EXO’s Xiumin have been confirmed to join the panel of judges for “Mister Trot 3.”

Lee Kyung Kyu remarked, “I really enjoy listening to trot music. When it comes to Bae Ho, there’s no one who knows more about him than I do.” He added, “The current trot craze started with the movie ‘Highway Star.’ I aim to discover the next generation of trot stars with my foresight.”

Actress So Yi Hyun shared, “My father-in-law has released trot albums and participated in auditions. My husband has also acted as a trot singer and released trot music. I can’t be separated from trot. Since ‘Mister Trot’ is the most beloved program among mothers, I will try to find the contestants’ charms from the perspective of a Korean housewife.”

Xiumin stated, “Having experience as an MC for audition programs, I know how nervous the participants must feel. Rather than evaluating them, I will be supporting them.”

“Mister Trot 3” wrapped up the recruitment of contestants on October 10 and has officially begun production. The production team explained, “Out of more than 12,000 applicants, only about 1,000 passed the document screening to participate in the preliminary audition. It was not easy to select 100 contestants from so many talented and charming applicants.”

The production team continued, “The 100 contestants who made the final cut faced an intense competition ratio of approximately 120 to 1, so there will be many surprises in store for viewers.”

“Mister Trot 3” is set to air by the end of this year.
