Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan has been in the news after a viral poster that depicted him as Guru Nanak went viral on social media. Aamir Khan’s team has addressed the growing controversy and has called it ‘fake and AI-generated’. The poster has been circulated on social media and has led to widespread outrage within the Sikh community after it was falsely linked to an upcoming project featuring Aamir Khan as the founder of Sikhism. In an official statement, a spokesperson for Aamir Khan clarified, “The poster showing Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak is completely fake and AI-generated. Aamir Khan has no connection to any such project. He holds the highest respect for Guru Nanak and would never be part of anything disrespectful. Aamir Khan’s to NOT play Guru Nanak in his next project
The statement has now put the speculations to rest about the authenticity of the project. Aamir’s team said that the superstar never be involved in such a controversial or disrespectful role. Well, the fake poster first emerged on a YouTube channel impersonating T-Series. BJP Punjab spokesperson Pritpal Singh Baliawal strongly condemned the news of Aamir allegedly playing the founder of Sikhism in the upcoming film. A complaint was even filed with the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, wherein they accused the actor of disrupting religious harmony and provoking the community. Aamir’s team within no time, publicly condemned the teaser and stated that it was a fan-edited image designed to mislead the audiences. Aamir’s spokesperson said that the star throughout his career, has always showcased respect for different religions and communities. On the work front, Aamir has been on a hiatus since the debacle of his dream project, Laal Singh Chaddha. He is all set to make his comeback with the upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, which is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par. The sports drama is being helmed by RS Prasanna and will hit the screens on June 20. Aamir also has a comedy film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and a superhero film with Lokesh Kanagaraj in his pipeline.
