Popular relationship counsellor, Charlotte Oduro, has finally spoken out about her much-publicised divorce, revealing that she now feels a newfound sense of freedom.

During an exclusive conversation with Oheneyere Gifty Anti on The Standpoint Show on GTV, she expressed that, for the first time in her life, she feels free to love and explore new relationships.

Addressing the ongoing public scrutiny surrounding her divorce, Counsellor Oduro admitted that the journey has not been easy, but she has chosen to embrace this new phase of her life with optimism. She disclosed that even her children have encouraged her to socialise, have fun, and meet new people, reinforcing her belief that life does not end after divorce.

“My 18-year-old son has been telling me to stop worrying about them and go out and have fun. My kids are wonderful. They recently asked me if I had friends or people I hang out with, when I couldn’t give them an answer, they asked me to stop stressing and focus on my life. Serving God doesn’t mean we should look like villagers. This experience has taught me a lot.” She stated.

Her remarks come in the wake of intense debates and criticisms over her previous advice to women on marriage and relationships. Many have accused her of urging women to endure difficult marriages, making her own divorce a subject of public discourse.

Despite this, she maintains that she is focused on moving forward and embracing happiness on her own terms.

Counsellor Charlotte Oduro’s candid revelations have sparked mixed reactions, with some applauding her for embracing her truth, while others continue to question her past teachings and demanding that she apologized for deceiving women.
