FUJIFILM launches instax WIDE Evo hybrid instant camera for RM1,798

FUJIFILM Malaysia has announced the launch of its high-end hybrid instant camera, the instax WIDE Evo, set for release on 12th February 2025. This latest addition to the instax series follows the global success of the instax mini Evo, bringing WIDE format film compatibility and enhanced creative features.

To celebrate the launch, FUJIFILM Malaysia is offering an early bird promotion while stocks last. Customers who purchase the WIDE Evo from 12th February will receive a free premium camera case and a 16GB Sandisk MicroSD card. The promotion is available at Fujifilm direct EC stores as well as selected online and offline authorized dealers.

A Hybrid Instant Camera for Ultimate Creativity According to Aragane, the instax WIDE Evo is designed to let users capture moments with a large LCD monitor for easy photo selection before printing. This hybrid functionality allows users to use it as both a camera and a smartphone printer, offering greater flexibility.

The WIDE Evo comes with ten lens effects, including Magenta and Monochrome, and ten film effects, such as Light Leak and Color Gradient. These effects can be combined freely to create 100 shooting effects. For the first time in the instax series, the camera introduces a degree control function, enabling precise adjustments to light intensity and color gradation at 100 levels.

Additionally, the Film Style feature allows users to frame photos for a more artistic instax print, while the Wide Angle Mode enhances shots with a broader perspective. These elements together provide 100,000 possible shooting expressions, allowing photographers to turn every shot into a masterpiece.

Premium Design Meets Classic Analog Feel The instax WIDE Evo features a luxurious black and metallic design, combining high-end aesthetics with classic analog-style operations. Users can select effects using various dials and enjoy the satisfying experience of manually rotating the Print Crank to print their photos.

Coinciding with the WIDE Evo launch, FUJIFILM is also introducing a new WIDE format film, “Brushed Metallics,” which features metallic-like textures and unique gradient effects for an added touch of sophistication.

Connect and Discover with the instax WIDE Evo App The dedicated instax WIDE Evo app provides a “Discover Feed” where users can explore instax prints shared by WIDE Evo photographers worldwide. The app showcases each image’s effect combinations, helping users discover new creative ideas. Through Bluetooth connectivity, users can also save their favorite effect combinations from the Discover Feed and replicate them on their own WIDE Evo camera.
