Full Trailer: Live-Action “Lilo & Stitch”

After a series of themed teaser trailers tied to events from the Superbowl to assorted holidays, Disney Pictures has finally released the first proper official trailer for its live-action adaptation of the 2002 animated hit film “Lilo & Stitch”.

Dean Fleischer Camp helms the project which reimagines the story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.

The trailer finally shows us the various human and non-human characters in action within the film’s story.

Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis star with newcomer Maia Kealo playing Lilo.

The project was first proposed in 2018 but hit multiple delays due to the pandemic, writer & director changes, a set fire, and 2023’s actors strikes.

The film was originally slated to premiere directly on the Disney+ service but the studio opted to go out theatrically with the movie.

“Lilo & Stitch” opens in cinemas May 23rd 2025.
