At CES 2025, TVs are always a massive category, with each manufacturer jostling for marketshare in an ultracompetitive space.
This year Hisense went big and showcased the largest TV of the ULED X range, the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV.
At 116 inches, it’s really hard to imagine how most people fit this through their front door. These are seriously massive pieces of glass and while modern TVs are thin, devices that large need an even larger room and wall to house it.
What’s also interesting is that 8K still struggles to gain traction, this is still a 4K display, so while it’s big, you’d definitely want some serious AI-upscaling to keep the content crisp when scaled up to that size.
The 116-inch TriChroma LED TV spearheads Hisense’s 2025 line-up, featuring an impressive 115.5 inch (almost 3 metre diagonally) 4K LCD anti-glare display. Supported by 21,000 TriChroma LED, it produces a dazzling 10,000 nits peak brightness while also integrating Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced credentials, making it the ultimate visual entertainment experience.
When it comes to the other part of the entertainment experience, the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV features a 6.2.2 surround sound system, with elegantly designed visible side speakers inspired by La Défense architecture and harp-like lines, delivering a graceful audio experience in an impressive 240-degree sound field.
“As leaders in big-screen TV, our 116-inch TriChroma LED TV epitomises the next step in our pursuit of the ultimate home entertainment experience. We continue to see strong demand for big-screen viewing in Australia, demonstrating our desire to experience sports, gaming and entertainment in a premium setting from the comfort of our own homes. The 116-inch TriChroma LED TV answers this need with a world-class and category-defining solution,”
Chris Kotis, Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Hisense Australia and New Zealand
The 116-inch TriChroma LED TV features an ultra-thin, 35mm seamless design and a low reflection surface treatment ensures an exceptional viewing experience that integrates effortlessly into a diverse range of home settings.
Discreetly hidden USB ports, accessed via a sliding mechanism, add to the clean and unified look, while the back panel features octagonal textures, symbolising strength and stability, and completed with a powerful bass that ties this ultimate immersive home theatre experience together.
What’s great to confirm is that Hisense Australia has announced that the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV will be available from Australian retailers in 2025.
