How to watch the 2025 Golden Globe Awards in Canada

One of the biggest nights in entertainment is nearly here.

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards will take place on Sunday, January 5th live from Los Angeles. Comedian Nikki Glaser (Fboy Island, Roast of Tom Brady) will host.

As with previous years, the show will air on Rogers’ Citytv network in Canada. This means you’ll need either a cable subscription to watch on Citytv or citytv.com or pay for the $4.99 Citytv+ channel on Prime Video.

This year, Netflix’s Emilia Pérez leads the film pack with 10 nominations, while FX’s The Bear landed five nominations, the most for TV.

Here are some of the biggest nominees between film and TV:

Ladysmith, B.C.’s Pamela Anderson — Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for The Last Showgirl
Vancouver’s Gabriel LaBelle is up for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for Saturday Night
Hamilton, Ontario’s Martin Short Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Only Murders in the Building
Gentilly, Quebec’s Denis Villeneuve, who directed, co-wrote and co-produced Dune: Part Two, has his film up for Best Motion Picture — Drama
