A Cinematic Survival Experience Awaits in Incantation
A new demo for the Asian cinematic horror game Incantation is now available on Xbox Series X|S as part of the Indie Selects Demo Fest. The game is also coming to consoles in March 2026. To celebrate this announcement, the team has released a new trailer, offering a closer look at the world players will explore.
Incantation is a story-driven horror adventure presented in a cinematic 3D first-person style. Adapted from the Taiwanese live-action film with the same title, the game recreates environments inspired by Taiwanese culture, rural landscapes, and traditional folklore. Players take on the role of a mother searching for her missing daughter. This journey leads her to the remote Chen Family Village. It is a place with an ominous deity and controlled by a dangerous cult. To move forward, players must guide the mother through each part of the village. They will uncover clues, solve environmental puzzles, and collect important items that reveal new paths along the way.
Softstar Entertainment Inc. developed the game, and Eastasiasoft Limited will release it digitally. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Microsoft Store for Windows. The team plans a physical Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch. It will include the game, a printed manual, acrylic standees, Joy-Con stickers, a mini case, a lucky charm, and a numbered certificate inside a collector’s box. This edition will remain exclusive to Nintendo Switch and will be available for $39.99 plus shipping. Standard physical copies for Nintendo Switch and PS5 will be available for US$29.99. All versions are now open for pre-order through their online retail partner Playasia.
