Jake Paul Reveals Engagement to Olympic Speed Skater Girlfriend Jutta Leerdam

YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul and his Olympic speed skater girlfriend Jutta Leerdam got engaged on Friday.

The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post Saturday, featuring photos of the proposal, which took place the day before.

In front of a scenic backdrop and amid white flowers and candles, Paul proposed to Leerdam, who looked surprised as she put her hand to her mouth. Another image showed her jumping up and down.

And, in yet another snap, she’s holding her hand out to the camera and showing off the engagement ring.

The pair, both clad in all-white, celebrated their engagement with a kiss and threw flower petals in the air and took in the view.

“We’re engaged,” Paul captioned the post. “We can’t wait to spend forever together.”

On Sunday, they shared a video of the proposal, soundtracked by Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful.”

Paul captioned that with “The most magical day of our lives” and included the March 21, 2025 date.

Paul and Leerdam met when he slid into her DMs in 2023 and invited her onto his podcast. The two made their relationship Instagram official that same year when Paul posted two photos of the two of them hand-in-hand and captioned the carousel with “I’m Dutch now” and tagged Leerdam.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in an October cover story, Paul opened up about his hopes for the two to reach the top of their fields in 2026.

“So in two years, Jutta gets a gold medal and I win the world championship. We’d be world champion at the same time,” Paul told THR of his plan to take the cruiserweight boxing title when Leerdam, who currently has a silver medal, wins the gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.

Ahead of his high-profile Netflix fight against Mike Tyson, where she supported him and which Paul ended up winning, in the most-watched sporting event on a streaming platform at the time, drawing 108 million viewers despite technical glitches, Leerdam expressed her support for her beau in the same THR cover story.

“The progression Jake has made is not normal,” she said. “Other athletes, they make a few percentage points of progression a year, if at all. Jake makes so much in a year. So I do trust his skills. I’m very proud of him.”

Up next, Paul and brother Logan Paul are set to star in the Max reality show Paul American, dropping Thursday, which will also feature Leerdam and Logan Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal. In the trailer for Paul American, Leerdam says of her now fiancé, “We both want to become champions. We bring out the best in each other.”
