Jelly Roll Celebrates His New Look and Grammy Nods: ‘All I See Is God’

The country star also joked about shaving off his beard, saying he looks “like a Ninja Turtle”

Jelly Roll couldn’t contain his excitement after finding out he’s nominated for a trio of Grammy Awards. In a YouTube video posted to the singer’s page, the country musician celebrated the Recording Academy’s acknowledgement as he showed off a new look.

“When I look at these nominations, all I see is God,” he said. “I want to cry. Wow, country album of the year. It’s not even about the album or the nom. It’s about the name.”

Jelly Roll is nominated for several awards at the 2026 Grammys, including Best Contemporary Country Album for his LP, Beautifully Broken, which he said represents “what’s happening in the world right now.” The album is up against Kelsea Ballerini’s Patterns, Tyler Childers’ Snipe Hunter, Eric Church’s Evangeline vs. the Machine, and Miranda Lambert’s Postcards from Texas.

“Win, lose, or draw, holy fuck, dude, we won,” he said. “I know a lot of artists give the Grammys a lot of shit, but the truth is I feel honored… Y’all make fun of me now and leave comments about my double chin.”

The singer’s collab with Shaboozey, “Amen,” is nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and “Hard Fought Hallelujah” with Brandon Lake is also up for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.

Jelly also joked about his new look, as he showed off how he had shaved his full beard for the first time in years. “By now, you have probably figured out that I look like a Ninja Turtle,” he said, adding, “I was so obese, it was easier to cover what was happening here.”

Rolling Stone predicted that Beautifully Broken would win the trophy for Contemporary Country Album. “His superpower is how he connects with people,” said Claire Heinichen, a Senior Editor for Country at Spotify. “He’s managed to make a mark across generations, which makes him an obvious winner to me. The Grammy voting body already knows his name and has been exposed to his music in a meaningful way.”
