Jing-A’s 8×8 Brewing Project is back for its ninth edition! Taking place on October 24 and 25 at the C7 Light Theater in UCP Hengtong International Innovation Park, this unique festival brings together Chinese and Nordic breweries for an exclusive collaboration of skill and flavor to create eight brilliant new beers.
Founded in 2012, Jing-A Brewing Co. (京A精釀啤酒) is known for its incorporation of Chinese ingredients, including red rice koji, ginger, and Sichuan peppercorn, and its interpretations of traditional beer styles such as IPA, witbier, and stout.
Jing-A’s relationship with Northern Europe can be traced all the way back to 2016, when they launched their first co-brewing project with the Norwegian distillery Nøgne φ.

Nine years later, 8×8 continues to celebrate this connection by inviting eight Nordic breweries to join forces with eight Chinese breweries to create eight incredible new beers that incorporate classic techniques with avant-garde methods.Fro
‘Innovation’ and ‘Collaboration’ have always been at the core of craft beer culture, and the soul of 8×8. These concepts are the driving forces that make more bold styles and ideas emerge – fermenting an environment for truly unique new tastes.
This year, 8×8 has organized a special “Young Blood x OG” dialogue between the experienced old masters of brewing and the distinctive styles of the new voices in the industry – you won’t want to miss your chance to see the sparks that fly when these two forces are paired creatively.
The eight Nordic breweries will be bringing their libations to Beijing, freshly flown directly to the capital to ensure each drop is in prime condition when it reaches your glass!
The festival is returning to UCP Hengtong International Innovation Park, known not only for its spacious indoor venue perfect for drinking and relaxing with friends, but also for its comfortable outdoor area that is perfect for celebrating in the fresh autumn air.
8×8 will be divided into four divine tasting periods. In addition to the eight newly created brews, each brand will be bringing two different exclusive beers available for just one time slot – this means that you get to drink an unlimited amount of 40 different beers each session with 136 different beers available across all four sessions.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! 8×8 will have great food and entertainment to go with the all-you-can drink beer! So don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind craft beer festival!
