Actors Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Jinny Ng (吳若希), and Brian Chu (朱敏瀚) attended a promotional event on January 18 in Kwun Tong for TVB drama Battle of Marriage . Former TVB actor Anthony Ho (何遠東) also made an appearance, while Winki Lai , who recently gave birth, was absent.
Jinny Calls the Shots
Edwin and Jinny revealed that the couple’s storyline will take a dramatic turn, moving away from previous sweet and heartwarming scenes. Their characters will become rivals, while Edwin joked about how he empathizes with Jinny’s husband: “She’s really fierce! She speaks without softening her tone, and the way she stares at you—it’s truly intimidating,”
Edwin & Priscilla Are Chill About Awards
On TVB Anniversary Awards, Edwin mentioned that his wife, Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), plans to attend, though it depends on her condition, and shared that he will prepare sneakers for her to switch to when seated, rather than wearing heels all the time. As Priscilla is in her second trimester of pregnancy, Edwin says there’s no need to worry too much for now. Asked if he’s concerned about her getting overly emotional if he wins an award, Edwin laughed and said, “I’m more worried she’ll be even more emotional if I don’t win! Just joking, we’re both very laidback about this”, and expressed confidence that TVB will reward contributions appropriately. Jinny Ng, on the other hand, originally planned to skip the awards but changed her mind upon learning Priscilla would attend!
Anthony Has Many Filming Offers
Anthony, who shared that he has received job offers from various TV stations, describes the experience as “refreshing” and expressing his appreciation for newfound freedom: “But I haven’t started work yet—we’re still in negotiation stages. (Would you return to TVB for a drama?) If the script is good, the producer is a match, and there’s a role for me, I would consider it,” Anthony added that he’s currently focused on teaching drama classes.
Explaining why he refrained from participating in games or speaking on stage at the event, Anthony said, “I wanted to give the spotlight to newcomers under contract…back when I started, senior actors would often let us rookies have more chances to speak.” Addressing past remarks about his strong performances as a supporting actor in multiple dramas, which some deemed excessive, he admitted that he initially felt upset, but has since learnt to let go of unhappy feelings.
