John Mahama Receives Warm Welcome At Manhyia Palace For Akwasidae Festival

His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama was well received at the Manhyia Palace to partake in the grand Akwasidae Festival, celebrated under the auspices of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.

The President was met with an enthusiastic reception from the gathered crowd, who shouted and waved at him. The Akwasidae Festival is a cultural celebration held every six weeks to honour the ancestors and showcase the rich traditions of the Ashanti Kingdom.

Among the prominent figures present were Ghanaian serial entrepreneur Dr. Osei Kwame Despite and former Black Stars and Bayern Munich defender Sammy Osei Kuffour, who graced the occasion to pay homage to Otumfuo and celebrate the cultural heritage of the Ashanti Kingdom.

Also, in attendance was renowned Ghanaian business mogul Ibrahim Mahama, who is known for his benevolent acts that has changed the lives of the poor and needy in Ghana.

The event featured colourful traditional regalia, cultural displays, drumming, and dancing, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated the Ashanti Kingdom’s legacy.
