William Yost, an Altadena resident has been identified as one of the two people killed in a wrong-way crash on the 134 freeway in Pasadena.
A wrong-way crash in Pasadena on Sunday, January 5, led to the deaths of two people.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred around 8:10 a.m. on the westbound 134 at North San Rafael Avenue in Pasadena.
A wrong-way driver entered from the San Rafael off-ramp traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes according to the California Highway Patrol.
He then collided with three other vehicles including a Honda and Toyota Prius. At least one car burst into flames following the impact, leading to the deaths of two people. Three people were rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics.
Two vehicles in the crash were severely damaged, rendering them unrecognizable. A witness recalled seeing a white sedan crashing into a silver minivan and the two aforementioned vehicles.
Only one of the deceased was identified so far – William Yost, 31, of Altadena.
Yost, originally from Pasadena, graduated from Pasadena High in 2011. He played varsity baseball. William described himself as simply a normal guy in a Facebook bio we came accross.
“I am just a guy like any other guy, but I am about twice as stupid,” he wrote in his bio on the site. No other info is publicly available about Yost. The 2nd victim in the crash has yet to be identified.
