Kanye West, the polarizing rapper, has once again taken to social media to vent his frustrations, this time about his exclusion from performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. In a now-deleted post on X, the 47-year-old artist pointed to three key moments that he believes led to him being “blocked” from the prestigious stage.

Among the reasons, Kanye pointed to the infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards incident where he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech to champion Beyoncé. “The Taylor Swift moment,” as he referred to it, has been a defining point of Kanye’s controversial public image ever since.

But that wasn’t all. Ye also linked his exclusion to his vocal support of Donald Trump, particularly his decision to wear a ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) hat. His polarizing political stance has sparked significant backlash, both from fans and the entertainment industry.

“I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments,” Kanye wrote in his post. “George Bush don’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift moment. Wearing a MAGA hat.” He also added, “How it feel to be the best living and blocked from the main stage because of being ahead of my time. (And I mean all of this before I went full Nazi of course).”

Kanye’s social media outbursts have become a common occurrence, with the rapper often airing grievances about various figures in the music and fashion worlds. Recently, he went on an extended rant against longtime friend and collaborator Jay-Z, accusing the mogul and others in the industry of betrayal. Kanye even made shocking remarks about Jay-Z’s family, questioning the intelligence of his children.

In addition, Kanye listed a number of brands and celebrities—including Adidas and Balenciaga—whom he claimed had turned their backs on him. The fallout from his comments has been serious, with reports suggesting that Jay-Z and Beyoncé may consider legal action over Kanye’s remarks about their children.

While Kanye’s statements are always divisive, one thing is clear: he’s not holding back in his latest attack on the powers that be in the entertainment world.
