An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Olympic Division, has died after taking his own life, reports say.
The yet to be identified officer was honored by the LAPD Hollywood Division, which released a statement of condolence with their fallen colleague and his entire division.
The post, shared on the Instagram page of LAPD Hollywood, read: “Our thoughts and prayers are with our brother and sisters and the family of LAPD Olympic . Sergeant RIP,”
LAPD Hollywood added resources for other officers feeling alone, cut-off and perhaps considering a similar course of action.
“The LAPD has over 150 certified peer support members, if you need to be heard call, text ,email , reach out The National Suicide Hotline 1800 273 8255,” they added.
Who is Adrian Jordan?
Online speculation has arisen surrounding an officer Adrian Jordan of the LAPD following this tragic suicide. It’s not clear what connection is being drawn to Jordan at this time.
However, what do we know about him? Adrian Jordan, according to LinkedIn and Watch the Watchers LAPD, is a ten-year veteran of the force, having been hired in September 2014. The 33-year-old is a former Marine and a graduate of Temple University. No other information is available about whether he was an officer with Olympic Division. LAPD Olympic and authorities are yet to confirm the identity of the deceased officer.
